Celtic knotwork and computers

A 21st century look at Celtic Knotwork

- an ancient form of artwork found on carved stones, pottery, armour and jewelry but probably best known for the elaborate designs in the mediaeval illustrated manuscripts.

The manuscripts were made by dedicated professionals and took years of highly-skilled labour with vellum and ink ... but this is the 21st century and no-one has the time any more!

Knotwork itself is a small part of Celtic Art - a vast topic including other themes like spirals, mazes, key patterns and animal designs.

This is my attempt to recreate a small piece of knotwork design with fairly straightforward computer-aided techniques.
